Ginko/Patio Basket
Shade takes shape.

Ginko and Patio Basket, designed by Zanellato/Bortotto for Ethimo, form a coordinated system that interprets the concept of shade through a graphic and contemporary language. A design where function and aesthetics integrate seamlessly, combining the elegance of the umbrella with an accessory element that enhances the space with both practicality and formal coherence.

The canopy features a radial design defined by vertical bands, creating a refined visual rhythm that recalls the geometry of the leaf. The central teak pole supports the structure with natural balance, while the bicolour combinations introduce a distinctive character suited to different settings. Ginko can be complemented by the Patio Basket, a woven container integrated into the base that becomes both functional and decorative—an accessory that enhances the space with seamless continuity.

Zanellato/Bortotto

In 2013, after having completed their degrees at the IUAV University in Venice and the Ecal de Lausanne, Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto founded the Zanellato/Bortotto studio, based in Treviso. This moment marked the beginning of their longstanding, constant research into the relationship between places and the passing of time, a connection analysed through the reinterpretation of traditional artisanal techniques.
