Nida
The memory of weaving, reinterpreted.

Nida is the dining chair designed by Chiara Andreatti for Ethimo, reinterpreting the simplicity and character of traditional woven seating through a contemporary lens. An essential and refined design where form and material interact naturally, expressing a subtle balance between tradition and modern design.

The die-cast aluminium structure defines a light and harmonious silhouette, shaped by soft lines and a semicircular backrest that embraces the body with a fluid gesture. The slender armrest follows the form seamlessly, while the rope weaving, more open in the backrest and denser in the seat, creates a refined interplay of solids and voids, evoking the memory of traditional craftsmanship. Nida combines comfort, lightness, and durability in an elegant and versatile presence, designed to adapt effortlessly to different settings.
