In Ethimo’s secret garden, there was first a collection of peonies and an enduring passion for remarkable gardens. A thread of pink that nurtures the imagination, a fascination with beauty, passed on through two generations at the Moutan Botanical Centre, which hosts the world’s largest and rarest collection of peonies in a single-theme park.

Ethimo chose to celebrate its love of the Mediterranean and 10 years of design and creation at the service of elegance and outdoor furniture in Sicily. Between a taste for secrecy and a desire to share, amidst the natural fusion of Sicilian scenery, the University of Palermo’s Botanical Garden is a real treasure. With almost 25 acres of collections, it is an isle on an island, a priceless heritage. An ode to excess, a conservatory of biodiversity, a Babylon of giant bamboo, araucaria, ginkgo biloba, where the baroque exuberance of Ficus macrophylla and the fragrance of citrus fruit collections comprise the iconic offerings of a living museum.
